The story behind Jottacloud

After becoming a father of two and with a third child on the way, Roland Rabben, CEO of Jottacloud, realized the importance of keeping his family’s memories safe. This led to the founding of Jottacloud in 2008, with a vision to create a cloud storage service that not only secures data but also upholds privacy without compromising on functionality.

The word "Jotta" in Jottacloud was derived from "Yottabyte," which is 10²⁴ bytes, but due to a typo, it became "Jottacloud." Over time, the name "Jotta" stuck and became a part of our identity.
